Mrs Delhi Ncr 2015 – Pageant Creates History

It’s the First time in the history of any pageant, where a workshop on Women Safety & Street Survival was held for the finalists of Mrs Delhi NCR 2015. Presented by Bombay Jewellers and Conceptualised by Gurgaon Glamour & Priceless Possessions, Mrs Delhi NCR 2015 is a unique pageant to acknowledge the Courage, Compassion & Charisma of a married woman.

“On one hand more and more women are stepping out of boundaries of home which is truly empowering but on the other hand due to centuries of conditioning they are not trained to take on the psychological and physical aggression on the street, workplace etc. Through Mrs Delhi NCR’s platform, we wish to spread awareness as well as empower them’’, said Poonam Kumar, Director, Priceless Possessions.

The finalists had an action-packed session on Rape Prevention using Street Fight techniques (used by Israeli, US and Indian army) by Street Level Awareness Program (SLAP)”. In SLAP's 'Women Safety & Street Survival' workshop real life threats like assault, kidnapping etc are simulated and women are taught how to escape such distress situations using a lethal Israeli street fight called Ultimate Survival Krav Maga, said Mriganka Dadwal, Founder SLAP

The Finale will be held on June 20th, 2015 at Hotel Country Inn, Sohna Road Gurgaon will have many known personalities of Bollywood and fashion fraternity. Among the Jury members are prominent Delhi’s celebrities and Bollywood Actor Rahul Roywhereas among the designers, we have FDCI designer Poonam Dubey.
